Cobalt fingers probe
naked ground
when explodes
the darkest cloud.
Edge of lightning
searing air
with raucous roil of
heaven’s laughter.
We watch in fear
‘til setting sun
sheds royal tears
with golden love.

Gorgeous I love the flow of the piece and the imagery is sublime

ReplyDeleteI really like "cobalt fingers" in the first verse. The poem takes me to an instant in time with color and sound.
ReplyDeleteHeaven's laughter but scary at times for those of us listening!
ReplyDeleteNature at her finest, observed with great honesty.
